    The project included the complete construction of the extension of the Almopia Landfill and the modernization of the existing biological one, namely:<\/p>\n

    1. Configuration of the extension of the landfill basin.<\/li>\n
    2. Sealing the expansion of the landfill basin and joining the layers with those of the Phase A cell.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Leachate management of the total landfill, i.e<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        a. Leachate collection projects from the expansion of the basin and their transport<\/p>\n

        of leachate from both phases to the treatment facility.<\/p>\n

        b. Modernization of the Leachate Treatment Facility with osmosis.<\/p>\n

        1. Collection - transport of biogas to the existing combustion unit<\/li>\n
        2. Flood protection<\/li>\n
        3. Internal road construction<\/li>\n
        4. Infrastructure projects (workshop, sampling area, IT projects)<\/li>\n
        5. Environmental monitoring projects<\/li>\n
