Electronic Building Identity

The Electronic Building Identity is necessary for all actions concerning a building, except for those cases concerning hire. It is therefore necessary in all buildings that have been erected or are in the construction stage with a building permit, as well as in all tidy properties. The goal of the Electronic Building Identity is the detailed recording of the current state of each building and its building permits, as well as the monitoring and control of its changes, during its lifetime.

-Activated by January 1, 2021 the Electronic Building Identity (EBI), the function of which however the first month will be in optional base, alongside the current process to ensure a smooth transition to the new system for engineers and to avoided the pause legal acts.

What is an electronic registry?

In an electronic register will be all property registrations with the details of each, such as Electronic Building Identity, inspection certificates, authorized engineers, project owners, completion certificate and others.

How to register the Electronic Building Identity - Procedure

This can only be done by an authorized engineer, after you provide him with the relevant required documents. In the first phase, the plot/ground must be registered and in the second the property. The engineer then issues the Building Identity Statement. Each Quote has its own authenticity key and unique ID Code.
The engineer then applies for the issuance of a Building Identity Completeness Certificate, which includes his own certification that the property has (or does not have) irregularities and whether any irregularities have been fixed, as well as the details of the Extract.

Also, every property that will be included in this legally mandatory procedure, each owner will be able to have:
– Knowledge of the legality or otherwise of the property or building
– Portfolio plans of the property or the entire building
– Knowledge of the energy classification of the property
– Static adequacy of the building
